STATEMENT

April 2014

Wax is the material I work with. While carving, folding, melting, and dropping it, I just try to go along with it.
And shapes emerge, from matter and memory, through the hands.

BIO

Luna Amarillis

In 2003, the peculiar charm of Murano glass and Venetian beads spurred me to start creating my first bijoux (you can see some of them in my archaeological website).

In 2012, I attended a course in lost wax casting at the Arti Preziose Association, and have been caught up by the expressive possibilities of wax.

I am just at the beginning of my way, but the world appears to me as greater and deeper than ever. And there’s so much beauty in the world…
